Many are small and weigh less than this. The Dwarf Lop rabbit is best suited for children over 10 yrs of age, for younger children an adult should supervise the care and handling of the rabbit. Mini Lop (modelled by rescue rabbit Bailey) Comes in many colours. Small stub nosed round head. Mini lops should be around 1.5 kgs or 3.3 pounds when fully grown. Even though your mini lop may be small, he or she will probably need more space and exercise than a larger rabbit. Mini lops are also known for being more temperamental in general.
Harlequin. (modelled by Patch) The Japanese, black and orange, the Magpie is black & white. The ears are opposite colours, the markings on the head are divided & the colours reversed. If the ear is one colour then the face on the other side is the same colour. Harlequins are generally quite calm and enjoy attention. True to their clown-like appearance, they are curious and love to be the center of attention.
Netherland Dwarf (modelled by Pepper) The main feature of Netherland Dwarf rabbits is their small size. They have a similar appearance to the Polish dwarf, except that they are the smallest of all rabbits - weighing only 2 to 2 1/2 lbs. They are very compact, with short little ears that stand straight up. Their fur is short, dense, soft, and glossy Netherland Dwarfs have a reputation of being skittish, wild, and/or of poor temperament. This is a leftover stereotype from the beginnings of the breed, when temperament wasn't the best. This has changed through selective breeding. There are always exceptions, however, and there are testy individuals out there. In general, the Netherland Dwarf is curious and gentle.
The Silver Fox rabbit has a coat of even colour with white ticking from silver tipped hairs around the chest, flanks and feet. The rabbit has brown, grey or lilac eyes and each eye is circled neatly with under colour. The coat is very dense but beautifully silky. Adult Silver Fox can weigh up to 3.17kg (7lb). The Silver Fox can make a good pet if it is handled well, offered companionship and provided with sufficient space to have regular exercise.
